Boxer Jake Paul wants to take over the world of fighting! And that includes dethroning Conor McGregor.
Boxer Jake Paul is already one of the most talked about boxers in the world, even with only two professional fights. The YouTube star knocked out Nate Robinson, the former NBA player, in his last fight, in the very successful event that featured the showdown between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr as the main event.
Now, Paul plans to take himself and his tens of millions of followers on a boxing path that leads to one person: Conor McGregor.
Boxer Jake Paul said he believed that a fight with McGregor in the future is “very realistic” thinking.
Paul said in an interview, that he wants to achieve a few more boxing victories before challenging McGregor in the ring. McGregor, a former UFC two-division champion, remains one of the best lightweights in the organization and is the biggest star in MMA history. He once competed in boxing as a pro: against Floyd Mayweather in August 2017, which turned out to be one of the most lucrative combat sports events of all time.
Paul said his plan is to convince UFC president Dana White, to let some of the MMA athletes under contract with his organization, compete against him in boxing. Paul has already mentioned names like McGregor, Jorge Masvidal and Ben Askren, from UFC, as well as Dillon Danis, from Bellator, who is McGregor’s jiu-jitsu trainer.
Boxer Jake Paul said that he had been training boxing for three years and had been taking it very seriously for the past two years. Despite having several other streams of income, Boxer Jake Paul said that boxing “invigorates” him like nothing else. He said he is committed to the sport and he certainly has great aspirations.
