Cyberpunk 2077 withdrawn from Playstation Store.
The introduction of Cyberpunk 2077, the new ambitious game from Polish publisher CD Projekt Red, is not going smoothly. CD Projekt Red said earlier that it would compensate disappointed buyers, but later turned back on that promise. The Poles have been experiencing setback after setback since they released Cyberpunk 2077 a week ago.
Except for the reports of bugs and poor image quality on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the reviews are by no means all that favorable. Reviewers complain about in-game sexism and racial hatred.
The computer game about a dystopian future, is so riddled with errors, that Sony has pulled the title from the PlayStation online store. The problems have caused the share price of Poland’s largest game studio to plummet by more than a fifth.
On paper, the owners of CD Projekt have lost billions. They are also under fire because their subsidiary GOG, one of the largest PC game download stores, has at the last minute withdrawn a game that could be offensive to the Chinese government. The horror game Devotion would be released as a new title on GOG on December 18.
For now though, Cyberpunk 2077 has been withdrawn from the Playstation Store.
