Novak Djokovic and wife Jelena test positive for COVID-19.

Novak Djokovic, world No 1 tennis player, his wife Jelena, four top tennis players and a few others have tested positive for Novel Coronavirus.

Dijana, Djokovic’s mother said that though her son tested positive, it “doesn’t mean he is ill.”

Dijana, stated:

“He is a young man and can bear it easier. I also think this virus is close to the end so this seems just like a second wave of Corona, which is not as strong as in the beginning. It is horrible, too horrible, what they write (international media), but we are used to it. It is like they couldn’t wait for it (bad news) to happen. It is obvious that they have something against Novak.”

The Adria Tour, a charity tennis tournament in Croatia, was organized by Djokovic. There were no safety rules with regards to the Coronavirus pandemic and Novak Djokovic was severely criticized because of this. There was no social distancing and even no masks at the tournament which had about 4,000 fans seated.

And after the match, the players even went so far as to embrace each other and party later on in the town, a party which had been hosted by Novak Djokovic and wife Jelena.

The result was that Novak Djokovic and wife Jelena and some others too, got the Novel Coronavirus.

On Sunday, the Adria Tour final was canceled, when three players tested positive for New Coronavirus and these were Viktor Troicki, Borna Coric and Grigor Dimitrov.

Srdjan, Djokovic’s father, pointed a finger at Grigor Dimitrov, saying:

“Why did this happen? It is because the man (Dimitrov) has probably arrived ill from who knows where and then everything happened. Apparently he didn’t test here but somewhere else and I don’t think that that’s right. He caused major harm to you in Croatia, to us as a family and to us as Serbia.”

Now for the next 2 weeks, Novak Djokovic and wife Jelena will be in isolation.
