Olympic aquatic center inaugurated by Tokyo.
Tokyo inaugurated its Olympic aquatic center this Saturday, with a capacity for 15,000 seats, which will host swimming, diving and artistic swimming events, in the Olympic Games to be held in 2021.
This center, with a cost of 542 million dollars, was completed last February, but its inauguration, scheduled for March, had to be postponed due to the New Coronavirus pandemic.
Yuriko Koike, Tokyo Governor, said the city hopes to host many athletes, men and women, and promised that the city will host a “successful” Olympics, in which protection measures against the virus will be implemented.
The 2020 Olympic Games were postponed due to covid-19 and its inauguration is scheduled for July 23, 2021.
That then is the latest on the Olympic aquatic center which has been inaugurated by Tokyo.
